Many of us makeup hoarders, junkies, enthusiasts – whatever you want to call it, tend to collect so much makeup and not be able to go through products fast enough before it expires or even finish it at all because there are so many different alternatives of the same type of product. I love being able to share with y’all product empties because that means I truly love the product! That or I like the product just enough to use all of it and then not repurchase it, but if that were the case, I will be sure to let y’all know. FYI, not all of today’s products are strictly makeup, some are bath products. Anyways, let’s get started!
Plu Scrub – Body Balance ($20): I don’t like using a bath glove, brush, or loofah, because it can harbor bacteria very easily. Instead, I love using a body scrub and prefer ones that come in a tube. This product has a sweet scent but it isn’t overpowering. I have very sensitive skin but this does not break me out. However, this does contain rose, pomegranate, honey, cherry blossom, and chrysanthemum extracts. So if any of that irritates your skin, I would stay away.
Bath & Body Works – Aromatherapy Body Wash & Foam Bath ($13): I love the aromatherapy products from Bath & Body Works! I recommend this whole product line but my favorite are the body wash and candles in the stress relief and sleep scents.
Neutrogena – Ageless Intensive Deep Wrinkle Night Moisturizer ($21): The formula contains Hyaluronic acid that helps hydrate and rejuvenate the skin and Retinol SA that promotes skin renewal. It claims to unveil healthier-looking skin and reduce the look of fine lines and deep wrinkles for a fresh, replenished look. I liked this night-time moisturizer but didn’t see a huge difference. It also had a weird yellow tint to it, which kind of turned me off. Overall, this product was just “eh”.
Too Faced – HangoveRx Primer ($32): Love this primer! It is super hydrating! Definitely great for days when your skin feels a little dry. It contains coconut water, probiotics and skin revivers. It is also silicone-free, paraben free and vegan friendly!
It Cosmetics – Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50+ ($38): I use this CC cream as a foundation, not a tinted moisturizer. It has a thick consistency and gives full coverage. I’ve used both a brush and a beauty sponge to apply it and I definitely prefer a beauty sponge. It also doesn’t break down that badly, in a sense where my face doesn’t look that bad after 6 hrs of wear compared to other foundations. I love that it comes in a pump but I don’t like the shade selection. This product only has 5 shades: fair, light, medium, tan and rich – all of which have warm undertones. This sucks for those who don’t want to buy two different shades to make a perfect shade or have a neutral undertone.
Maybelline – Fit Me Concealer ($7): DUPE ALERT – dupe for the cult favorite NARS Creamy Concealer!!! I LOVE this concealer. I think it’s the best one at the drugstore, hands down. I’m on my 3rd tube, getting ready to buy another one soon! It’s light weight but gives good coverage. I don’t usually have anything that needs hardcore concealing, but when I have blemishes or breakouts, I spot conceal and set it with a pressed foundation powder – it works like a charm!
Milani – Prep + Set + Go Transparent Face Powder ($10): Overall, I like this powder. It didn’t stand out to me – nothing really blew me away, but I did like that it didn’t give me a white cast.
Maybelline – Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner ($8): DUPE ALERT – dupe for the cult favorite Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. But personally, I don’t think formula wise, this is still lacking compared to the Stila. I like how pointy the felt tip is but this dried out really fast for me and wasn’t consistently pigmented enough. If you’re looking for a good affordable liquid eyeliner, I’d actually recommend the Essence waterproof eyeliner – it’s $3 and does a fantastic job!
Urban Decay – All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray ($30): Love this setting spray! I was going to buy/use it for a 3rd time but decided to try out other brands. I’m trying to find my favorite out of drugstore and high-end brands and this is definitely at the top! The sprayer is really nice, it doesn’t drench you in one harsh spray, and it doesn’t have a weird scent.
That’s it! I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! I am planning on getting eyelash extensions for the first time! Super excited but also a little anxious. What products do y’all keep using and purchasing over and over again and what are your plans for the weekend? Let me know! Ttyl~
