Review: Palladio Crushed Metallic Eyeshadows

I hope everyone had an amazing Labor Day weekend! I surely did! I spent some time with my sister and adorable nieces and then I also spent some quality “Me” time as I always do every weekend to help unwind from the stressful week.

From top left going counter-clockwise: Supernova, Stellar, Solstice and Light Year

This past weekend, when I was at Ulta, I walked past the Palladio section like usual, but then I stopped and turned back around when I saw BOGO 1/2 off tags in the corner of my eye. It was the Palladio makeup brand. I haven’t heard much about Palladio before this, so I wasn’t sure if there were any cult favorites that I should try out or if it’s an overall brand that I should pass on. I did some digging on the Ulta website and found that the Crushed Metallic Shadows had a 4.3 rating. I decided to pick up a few shades and give it a go. I got Supernova, Stellar, Solstice and Light Year.

DAYUMMM!!! These shadows swatched beautifully on my forearm! I was so shocked by the creaminess and pigmentation. Sometimes eyeshadows may swatch really great on the forearm or the back of the hand, but then when it comes to evaluating how it does on the lids, it ends up being crap. This was not the case for these eyeshadows.

I tested them out on Labor Day. I primed my eyes like I usually do and set it with a loose translucent powder. I added a light warm neutral brown shade to my crease as a transition. Then I put Supernova all over my lid and Solstice as my inner corner highlight. They were still very pigmented and blended out nicely.

I’m actually really surprised that I haven’t heard about these before. I know that virtually everyone likes the Makeup Geek Foiled eyshadows and the Nyx Cosmetic Prismatic eyeshadows but I haven’t heard any buzz about these. I’m so glad to have found these little gems – definitely keepers! If you haven’t tried out Palladio before, give these eyeshadows a try! At Ulta, they are $5.99 each but with the BOGO it’s $4.50 each when you buy two!

Have any of y’all tried these shadows before? If you have, let me know what you think and if there’s anything else I should try out, comment below! See y’all next time!

    1. Thank you! I recommend (1) E.L.F.’s Mad for Matte and the Prismatic Eyeshadow palette, (2) Nyx Ultimate Eyeshadow palettes and (3) Morphe eyeshadow palettes (but those are harder to find in-store unless you live in CA).
